About: Hazz means jump. Ali is a name of a man. He jumped from a high place in Khazzali as he was being chased by men who wanted to kill him. Everyone thought he would die as it was so high but when he jumped he survived and run away.
Walk: This canyon is a short walk however the surface is different as water comes here in the winter so you must be careful walking as it can be slippery on the rocks as the surface is very smooth. A long time ago people came here to get water from the man made pools of water left here from the winter time. Nowadays these old pools are full of sand. There is another canyon joined to Khazzali and if you feel like walking further you can with our guide, however it is hard to climb up the slippery surface. Khazzali has three types of inscriptions Nabataean, Islamic and Thamudic. The Nabataean inscriptions consists of mountains goats, people, camels, horses, feet and spirits. The Islamic inscriptions talks about the prophet Mohammed and Islamic God. The Thamudic inscriptions are not very clear as water has damaged them over time and they are nearly not visible on the sandstone rocks, but you can still see a little bit.
