While at camp you can choose to book one of our tours, relax around camp, or go for a walk on your own.
Take a look at our tours page to see your options for a jeep, camel, or hiking tour!
After dinner most guests stay in the communal large tent, go stargazing, sit around a fire, read, relax, watch tv or just enjoy the piece and quiet of the natural surroundings. Currently there is not a strong internet or mobile signal available in the camp so you will need to go without these things during your stay at the camp.
Often you can view the local blanford's fox as he comes out at night. We have mattresses that can be taken outside and it is very nice to lay in the sand whilst looking up at the stars. You can stay up all night or go to bed anytime you want.
We have a small hill behind the camp that can be climbed up to view both the sunset and sunrise daily. Our camp is located in the red sand and you are free to walk around and play in it as much as you like. Also, you are able to walk to the white desert which is 700m away and can be seen clearly from our camp. There is also spectacular view of Jebel Qattar from the camp.
We strongly suggest you don't try to walk to camp on your 1st day arriving in Wadi Rum as the area is large and although the walk is straight forward there is greater chance of you losing your bearings on the 1st day. If you want a nice free walk, we suggest that you walk from the camp to the village in the morning when you plan to leave Wadi Rum. We suggest this because you will understand you location much better in relation to your destination of Rum Village after sleeping one night at the camp. For this walk you need to walk thru the valley of the moon for 11km. You can ask the staff at the camp for more information about which direction to go before you set out.
